This guidance is for the Positive Planet - Employee Commuting & Home-working Data Collection. It covers the data collection process for commuting to/from a regular place of work and/or working from home.
Commuting & Home-working
The easiest way to collect your employee commuting & home-working data is to send them a link to our online survey. If you would like to collect this data manually then we will need to understand distance travelled by type of vehicle and number of days commuted vs worked from home.
Please note: Do not include commuting miles where the employee is driving a company car that has already had its mileage/fuel measured under Company Vehicles.
Survey:
We can provide you with an online survey to distribute amongst your employees. This brief survey will collect their commuter information and any work from home data all in one simple process. We aim for at least a 60% response rate but can scale up any missing information as required.
We will cross-check your own employee data with our client database to ensure any small teams data isn't affected by 1 or 2 employees with long/unusual commutes.
